Black Kase Foods was founded in 2023, by John Krull, and his passionate team of cheese and food enthusiasts. John worked for some of the leading food, beverage, & nutritional product manufacturers. After years of working with dairy and cheese ingredients and learning the cheese making processes. He wanted to create and bring to consumers high-quality, affordable artisanal cheeses using traditional methods.
The Black Kase Foods heritage dates back to 1897 when Eva Arnold Krull and her extended family used milk from their dairy farm creating butter and cheeses.
With John's passion for cheese and good foods, he knew he wanted to share this with the world.
John also has over 20 years' experience sourcing food ingredients. He offers his services to startups and established consumer product companies who seek guidance and assistance sourcing and purchasing food and beverage ingredients. His experiences range from nutrition bars and infant formula to frozen & refrigerated foods, soups, appetizers, and deserts.

At Black Kase Foods, we believe that the best cheese comes from the best ingredients. That's why we source all of our ingredients from local & regional suppliers and cheese manufacturers. We believe in supporting our community and using sustainable, ethical practices.
Our cheeses are made using only the freshest milk and cheeses, and we use traditional methods of cheese-making that have been passed down for generations. We use cheese blends and techniques creating artisanal cheese and cheese spreads with complex and distinct flavors.
