Black Kase Foods was founded in 2023 by John Krull, a passionate cheese enthusiast who has worked as a cheese buyer for some of the leading food manufacturers. After years of buying cheese and learning the cheese making processes he wanted to create and bring to the consumers high-quality, affordable artisanal cheeses using traditional methods.
The Black Kase Foods heritage dates back to 1897 when Eva Arnold Krull and her extended family used milk from their dairy farm creating butter and cheeses.
Our cheeses are made using only the freshest milk and cheeses, and we use traditional methods of cheese-making that have been passed down for generations. We also use a unique blend of cheese and techniques creating cheese and cheese spreads with complex and distinct flavors.
Yes, we offer cheese tastings at local farmers markets and tradeshows.
